Still trying to catch up...

...so this was the weekend in Cumbria.

On Saturday we wandered around Grange-Over-Sands. We checked out the Edwardin Festival that was going on, which was rather quaint. Mostly local stalls, a few people in costume and Edwardian music and dancing and such.

We then went for a walk along the promenade. So beautiful with the rolling hills way in the back ground and the estuary and the sheep lounging on the grassess where the sand used to be befor the estuary moved. Gorgeous stone walls and gardens and a charming old outdoor pool that is now boarded up but we got pictures be sticking out cameras over the wall. And now I'm babbling in text so have some photos.

On Sunday, HQ and I went around the southern Lake District with her parents. The wether wasn't gret but it didn't ctully rin until mid afternoon and we took some pretty pictures and did lots of shopping. W went the Coniston, Chesters, Ambleside, Grasmere and Windemere. Possibly some other little places too whowe names are escaping me right now. I think the wterfall near Chesters was my favourite. But pictures probably tell the story best.

You may have noticed - we did see William Wordworth's grave. ;)
